I've just joined What She Said!, a ring of progressive women bloggers, though I'm having difficulty linking to it at present. (Any Typepad-savvy members who can help?) Looking at the dizzying number of women on it, I feel simultaneously awed by the brilliance and competence of their work and thrown back to two times gone by. One is the mad mass meetings of the Women's Center at SUNY-Binghamton in 1980 and the Women's Action Coalition in 1992, and the other the early days of Usenet. Both were exhilarating, AND and neither was the most efficient use of anyone's time. I don't know what this all means, yet.
